Free workshops: Summer 2022
Come Together: Unlocked is a series of free creative workshops and activities taking place in Saffron Walden this summer - and you're invited! Get involved these free workshops led by professional writers, artists, theatre-makers and musicians to unlock your creativity, imaginations, musicality, and community spirit. Absolutely no previous experience is required to take part.
Saffron Community Link takeover: 15-22 July 2022
This series of events will finish with a week-long takeover of the Saffron Community Link (a community hub next to Saffron Building Society in Saffron Walden) between 15-22 July. We already have some plans for the takeover - like an art installation plus pop-up events throughout the week - but there'll be plenty of opportunity for workshop participants to get involved and contribute to the exhibition or activities should they wish.

Participant feedback
“I felt valued and as if my voice was heard… and all the while I could feel the total support from the other participants and the creative team. It is something I will never forget (and am hoping will continue as the benefits have been immense – it has been like stealth therapy.)”
“I for one feel as if something deep inside me has been rekindled. Something I haven’t felt since I was a child. I still have something to offer and a voice to be heard”
“This project seems to have reached part of me that the others just haven’t managed to… that Heineken moment, which just shows my age. Something creative, exploratory, disciplined, but above all, something done in conjunction with likeminded people.”
“Something changed when I left Junior School. That feeling of freedom and that anything was possible and that confidence in myself seemed to be hidden away. For many years it has been looking for a voice and I think that it just might have found one.”
“I had not been involved in any dance, music or drama since school and even then these were not my main interests… However, I am so glad that I got involved! The project has given me the opportunity to meet new people, try out new things and experience a really supportive collaborative atmosphere”
