Presented by Saffron Walden Symphony Orchestra

Saffron Walden Symphony Orchestra playing on the stage at Saffron Hall

The Saffron Walden Symphony Orchestra present a concert of music inspired by mountains.

They will take you on a journey through familiar mountainous territory beginning with Mussorgsky's ever-popular A Night on Bare Mountain before spending some peaceful pastoral time with E.J. Moeran's In the Mountain Country and ending with Alan Hovhaness' 'Mount St. Helen's' Symphony, a spectacular depiction of one of the most destructive natural events of modern times.
