Tanita Tikaram

Tanita Tikaram

Presented by Saffron Hall

The album Ancient Heart made Tanita Tikaram a star whilst still in her teens, its hit single Twist in My Sobriety an ever-present soundtrack to the late 1980s.

The album sold over four million copies, garnering a legion of loyal fans worldwide. Her music may be constantly and subtly evolving, her themes broadening, more politicised, but the vibrant blend of folk, pop, jazz and blues and even minimalism, coupled with sharply etched lyrics and a bewitching voice is still as captivating a live experience over three decades on. Defying stereotypes and genre classifications, this is a rare chance to witness a truly individual talent.

Luke Sital Singh will be the support act for this performance. Luke Sital-Singh is a British singer-songwriter known for his heartfelt, folk-inspired songs and soulful vocals. Since emerging with Fail for You in 2012, he’s released acclaimed albums includingThe Fire Inside, A Golden State, and Dressing Like a Stranger. His music—featured on shows likeGrey’s Anatomy and Suits—blends intimacy and emotion, exploring love, loss, and hope with striking honesty.
