The Sixteen: Handel's Coronation Anthems
The Sixteen: Handel's Coronation AnthemsPresented by Saffron Hall
This is a rescheduled event from 14 February 2021. All ticket holders have been contacted with information about their options.
The king shall rejoice! When George II was crowned King, he asked Handel to write the music – and the result was sheer sonic majesty. Expect trumpets, expect splendour and expect choral singing to make the spine tingle, as period ensemble The Sixteen perform Handel’s coronation anthems – including Zadok the Priest – in a celebration of the baroque era at its grandest, its most opulent and its most glorious.
