Foyer Folk

Presented by Saffron Hall

Jackie Oates

End the week with a laid-back evening in the Saffron foyer. A well-stocked bar, food trucks serving a superb selection of street food from Souvlaki Shack, plus live music from Jackie Oates.

A little over ten years ago Jackie Oates, then the viola player with Rachel Unthank and the Winterset, decided to embark on the more unpredictable path of solo artist. Since then she has won two BBC Folk Awards and released a string of critically acclaimed solo albums including her most recent album 'The Joy of Living'. She is now regarded as 'one of her generation’s most gifted interpreters and performers of traditional song' (Folk Radio).
