Hertfordshire Chorus

Presented by Saffron Hall

At the request of the Artist there has been a change of programme. Stravinsky’s Symphony of Psalms will be performed in the place of the Beethoven Choral Fantasy in C minor.

Hertfordshire Chorus brings an exciting and compelling programme for its first appearance in Saffron Hall. Haydn’s Te Deum, an effervescent miniature masterpiece, is followed by Stravinsky's Symphony of Psalms, a magnificent symphonic setting of three biblical psalms that is both inspirational and uplifting. Berlioz’s Te Deum, a huge and impressive work, provides beautiful melodies, rich harmonies and breathtaking power, culminating in the monumental final choral masterpiece, the ‘Judex Crederis’.

This concert will finish at approximately 9.15pm
