London Philharmonic Orchestra & Vladimir Jurowski

Presented by Saffron Hall

London Philharmonic Orchestra
Don’t be misled by the name ‘Pathétique’. It means “full of emotion”, and Tchaikovsky’s blazing, autobiographical final symphony is one of music’s most thrilling experiences. In their first concert as our new Resident Orchestra, the London Philharmonic and music director Vladimir Jurowski will bring their outstanding musicianship to Saffron Hall. With violinist Julia Fischer, they will explore one of British music’s most powerful 20th-century masterpieces: Britten’s brooding Violin Concerto.
