London Philharmonic Orchestra with Mitsuko Uchida

London Philharmonic Orchestra with Mitsuko Uchida

Presented by Saffron Hall

When Mitsuko Uchida plays Beethoven, words aren’t really up to the job – let’s just say that few musicians on the planet come closer to capturing the drama and poetry of Beethoven’s Fourth (and some would say finest) Piano Concerto.

It’s hard to follow that, but Vladimir Jurowski always sees things differently, and tonight he explores the glowing vistas and soaring Alpine peaks of Bruckner’s colossal Sixth Symphony.
