Saffron Walden Symphony Orchestra

Saffron Walden Symphony Orchestra

Presented by Saffron Hall

Saffron Walden Symphony Orchestra performing on the Saffron Hall stage.

Beethoven’s wild and unconventional ‘Eroica’ Symphony, initially composed in honour of Napoleon, marks a moment when music turned its back on orderly classicism in favour of something more stormy, revolutionary and romantic. It forms a thrilling climax to a concert which includes Beethoven’s tempestuous ‘Coriolan’ overture, and Mendelssohn’s dazzling Violin Concerto, which was ground-breaking at the time of its composition and which still delights 170 years later.

This concert will finish at approximately 9.15pm

Tickets £12/£10 CONCESSIONS, UNDER 16s FREE
