A New Year's Celebration

A New Year's Celebration

Presented by Saffron Hall

Orchestral players stand posed with their instruments in a lush, plant-filled indoor courtyard with light streaming in from the glass roof above

Join the BBC Concert Orchestra for a sparkling New Year’s concert to round off the festive period.

A programme of Viennese exuberance and elegance, we begin with the sublime Clarinet Concerto Mozart wrote in Vienna and conclude with a second half packed with the music forever associated with that city, the refined waltzes, whirling dances of the Strauss family and their contemporaries. A joyous start to the New Year, and a celebration of one of the world’s great musical cities.
