Foyer Folk: Camus
Foyer Folk: CamusPresented by Saffron Hall
End the week with a laid-back evening in the Saffron foyer. A well-stocked bar, hot street food, plus live music from folk group Camus. Eat, drink, get into the swing and unwind!
Camus is a traditional folk band based in locally Cambridge. They've played around East Anglia for many years, at clubs, festivals, ceilidhs and concerts. Recently re-formed as a four-piece, they have national championships in Northumbrian piping (solo and duet) and tune composition among their recent successes. They play an exciting mix of traditions, with influences from Northumbria, Ireland and Shetland, a dash of bluegrass and Galician, and our own tunes and songs.
Camus will be supported by Kelly Bayfield, who brings together a perfect blend of classic Laurel Canyon singer-songwriter & folk singing traditions from both sides of the Atlantic. Her pure voice is unmistakably English but finds itself equally at home with Americana, jazz, pop, or country.
Pimp My Fish will be serving fish and chips every way - from your traditional FnC with vinegar to fish burritos with asian slaw and sriracha.
