Ronnie Scott’s presents: Rhapsody in Blue

Ronnie Scott’s presents: Rhapsody in Blue

Presented by Saffron Hall

The music of George Gershwin has always been a source of inspiration for jazz musicians.

In this special concert, Ronnie Scott’s music director James Pearson leads a world-class ensemble as they reimagine timeless Gershwin melodies in the styles of jazz legends. Hear ‘Swanee’ as Paul Whiteman may have played it, ‘The Man I Love’ in the style of Oscar Peterson and ‘Lady Be Good’ as Benny Goodman might have performed in duo with Stéphane Grapelli. And finally, no tribute to Gershwin would be complete without a medley from Porgy and Bess, the overture to An American in Paris and the iconic Rhapsody in Blue.
