Cast of Wizard of Oz comes to Saffron Walden

From Oz to Saffron Walden

Two weeks ago, Scarecrow, Tin Man and Lion, alongside Glinda (the Good Witch) travelled from Oz to Saffron Walden to have a look round Saffron Hall for the first time and visit the Saffron Walden market to catch up on some shopping.

The characters enjoyed visiting a host of local businesses including supporters Saffron Building Society; show partners Tela, Amherst Homes and Pellys; and Saffron Walden BID members The Trawlerman, Art @ Home, Saffron & Sage, Jolie, Harts Bookshop and Seasalt. The cast also got the chance to take a picture with their likenesses at the 'Snap it with Dorothy' photo board in the Market Square.

We've found our Totos!

Last Saturday, Saffron Hall and KD Theatre stopped their search for Toto after a round of auditions for the pantomime pooch.

"We were delighted to meet so many wonderful dogs who are clearly loved by their owners! Each one had tremendous personality which made it all the more hard to make the decision! We are sure that our chosen Totos; Monty, Hercules, Oscar and Teddy will steal the show with their stage appearance and they truly will have the ‘ah’ factor!"
