The Archers at 75 presenter announcement

We’re delighted to announce an additional special guest presenter for this Sunday’s Archers at 75 celebration at Saffron Hall — none other than Louiza Patikas, best known to millions of listeners as Helen Archer herself!

Louiza will join the wonderful Petroc Trelawny to present this very special edition of Friday Night is Music Night with the BBC Symphony Orchestra celebrating 75 years of The Archers - plus a special guest appearance from Ryan Kelly (The Archers' very own Jazzer McCreary).

The concert features a wonderfully warm and uplifting programme of much-loved classics, from Vaughan Williams’ The Lark Ascending and Elgar’s Nimrod to orchestral favourites including Jolene, Fields of Gold and The Floral Dance.

The programme also embraces timeless popular classics arranged for orchestra, from Dolly Parton’s Jolene and Charles Aznavour’s She to the irresistible joy of The Floral Dance, a fantasia on Greensleeves and Sting’s Fields of Gold.
