English Touring Opera: Cinderella

English Touring Opera: Cinderella

Presented by Saffron Hall in association with English Touring Opera

Tickets from £15

Price includes a commission of £1.00

Cinderella stood in a dark room facing the camera against a window, dressed in red

Complete with a murderously wicked stepfather and astonishingly virtuosic vocal parts for Angelina – Cinderella – and the Prince Ramiro, Rossini’s opera is on the face of it a vivacious and joyful retelling of the Cinderella story.

However beneath the wholesome moral triumph of goodness and kindness lurks a more biting commentary on status and desire.
