National Youth Choir (15-18 Years): Night Vigil

Presented by National Youth Choir

Join the remarkable young voices of National Youth Choir (15-18 Years) and their dynamic conductor Mariana Rosas (London Symphony Chorus) for a constellation of music inspired by the nighttime.

Through stirring singing, spoken soundscapes and spirited body percussion, these brilliant teenage musicians will explore music from the Renaissance to the present day. Discover the sacred stillness of music from Rachmaninov’s All-Night Vigil, feel the rugged rocking rhythms of an indigenous Patagonian lullaby and tap your feet to Dua Lipa’s disco banger ‘Dance the Night’. And to top it all off, you’ll also be treated to the world premiere of a completely new piece, written by rising star Áine Mallon especially for this concert!

National Youth Choir brings the finest young singers from across the UK together to take part in life-changing musical experiences. Whether you're a die-hard choral music fan or you've never been to a choir concert before, we know you’ll enjoy seeing the dedication, skill and joy of our teenage singers shine through in this performance.
