Saffron Opera Group – Siegfried

Saffron Opera Group – Siegfried

Presented by Saffron Hall

Saffron Opera Group

After the monumental critical successes of, and standing ovations for, last year’s Das Rheingold and Die Walküre Saffron Opera Group continues its concert Ring Cycle. (“ I have to reach back to memories of Karajan’s days for a Die Walküre that was overall as well sung as this” – Paul Dawson-Bowling, Wagner News). Siegfried tells the action-packed adventure of a brave hero who conquers both gods and monsters to find true love. Wagner expert Michael Thorne leads a cast of international soloists, with the BBC 2015 Chorister of the Year in the role of the Woodbird and a superb orchestra of invited musicians.

Sung in German with English surtitles.

Running time: Approximately 5 hours 50 Minutes including 2 intervals.

Act 1 running time: Approximately 90 minutes followed by a 30 minute interval.
Act 2 running time: Approximately 80 minutes followed by a 60 minute interval.
Act 3 running time: Approximately 90 minutes.
