Dame Harriet Walter in Shakespeare's Sisters

Dame Harriet Walter in Shakespeare's Sisters

Presented by Saffron Hall

Tickets from £20

Price includes a commission of £1.00

Harriet Walter lets some "sunlight in" on Shakespeare's female characters.

This recital of words and music may tell us. Shakespeare’s female characters - mothers and mistresses, saints and sinners, fairies and murderers, witches and wenches – not only take centre stage but are allowed to speak their minds. Dame Harriet Walter (Succession, Killing Eve, The Crown and Ted Lasso) reads from her riveting new anthology She Speaks!, which imagines what the women in Shakespeare’s plays might have been secretly thinking. Sophie Bevan and Christopher Glynn explore how these heroines and anti-heroines have inspired composers through the ages.
