Sinfonia of London

Sinfonia of London

Presented by Saffron Hall

Tickets from £28

Price includes a commission of £1.00

Whilst soloist Benjamin Grosvenor has long been a Saffron Hall favourite, it’s a first visit for the superb Sinfonia of London, a hand-picked orchestra featuring the finest principal players in UK orchestras.

Their founder, the versatile and charismatic conductor John Wilson, is as authoritative in the classic symphonic repertoire as he is in his zesty performances of the great American musicals. He’s celebrated for his verve, energy and attention to detail and brings these qualities to the tenderness and turmoil of Rachmaninov’s famous piano concerto and Rimsky Korsakov’s fantastical symphonic suite, based on Arabian Nights, featuring tales of Sinbad, shipwrecks and street parties, princes and princesses.
