Martin Hayes

Presented by Saffron Hall

Tickets from £25

Price includes a commission of £1.00

“In the decades to come, we’ll surely talk of having seen this man in the way others talk of Miles Davis, Jimi Hendrix or John Coltrane” enthused the Irish Times of legendary fiddle player Martin Hayes.

Hayes has a deep respect for the music of his Irish roots combined with a questing creativity that recreates it anew for our times.  In his hands, the humble fiddle becomes an instrument that can both touch the heart with lush swathes of aching nostalgia and melancholy but lift the spirits with an irrepressible rhythmic vitality.
Intimate sets from one of the most inspirational and inventive figures in today’s traditional music scene.
