New Year with the London Philharmonic Orchestra

New Year with the London Philharmonic Orchestra

Presented by Saffron Hall

Tickets from £21

Price includes a commission of £1.00

No New Year celebration seems complete without the sumptuous waltzes and effervescent marches and polkas of the Strauss family.

But the beautiful blue Danube flows from Vienna to Budapest, only 180 miles away by river and Brahms’ Hungarian Dances are evocative, swirling melodies in the gypsy style common to countless café bands in that great city. Cambridge-raised Annemarie Federle was appointed the LPO principal horn in 2023, aged only twenty. She is guest soloist in Mozart’s last, and most popular horn concerto.
